Here's a perfect letterpress greeting card for anyone involved with yarn, thread, string, sewing, or knitting, or really, anyone that you want to write a loooooooong story to (although if if it's too long, you'll need some extra paper!).

Each card was hand-printed. First, I printed my "yarn ball" woodcut with its unique color gradient on my hand-inked Nolan proof press - each and every card is just a little bit different from the rest. Then, I used my Chandler and Price platen press and metal type to add the lettering. Each card is approximately 5-1/2" tall by 4" wide, printed in red/purple and dark blue ink on sturdy creamy white paper and comes paired with a matching envelope. The yarn ball extends across the fold of the card, so you see a little of it on the back, too.

The inside of each card is blank. My name and website are printed subtly on the back.
